If you simply want to get larger muscles then follow a bodybuilding program. If you want to get fit improve strength, tone up and have your muscle groups working well together then follow the session plans below. With Royal Marines the majority of the physical training program uses exercises that involve many muscle groups working together. This creates a strong, healthy and well balanced body. Many bodybuilders look good but are quite sluggish when it comes to moving their body around an obstacle course for example. Most Marines are strong but more importantly can move their own body weight plus additional weight for long distances, or lift thier own body weight plus additional weight up and down ropes (be it on a static rope or on a cliff face). The fitness plans below are in no specific order so just make sure you change the sesseion plan on a regular basis in order to keep your muscles guessing and improving.
