Today we have a strength training session for you which will target individual muscle groups and work them hard.
We have press ups and we are doing 3 sets with just a short pause in between. This allows us to target the chest and triceps in a big way, tire them out, then work them again and tire them out even more. Press ups are one of the best compound upper body exercises you can do if you are new to strength training or have hit a plateau in your current training schedule. A compound exercise is one that uses many different muscle groups all at the same time to complete the exercise. Press ups are used in most training regimes and are definitely here to stay.
We also have Russian kicks which are another compound body exercise, and these will work your triceps hard, remembering that your triceps will already be quite tired from your press ups.
Sit ups are a must for any training regime and we have them included in today's workout. We will be doing 3 sets of 15 to really make sure your core muscles are suitably worked. If you struggle with 3 sets back to back then just try 2 sets.
And of course we can not neglect legs, so we have some squat work which is another compound exercise.
So lots of compound exercises today which are the foundation of any strength training regime.

Workout Breakdown:
Press ups........................ 12 reps, 3 sets
Sit Ups...............................15 reps, 3 sets
Squat............................... 15 reps, 3 sets
